During the 90's, a period when ITESA began its operations, it participated in many important projects, such as the electrical works of the Hospital Naional, Plaza Credicorp Bank Building, Santa Maria La Antigua University.

The arrival of the new century brought with it great opportunities for the ITESA family.  During this time, we were able to make essential contributions to many emblematic projects within the city, such as  the Panama Ports Cruise Terminal, the Multiplaza Mall,  and the expansion and remodelling of the Tocumen Airport.

The last 10 years ITESA has held steady as one of the leaders of the electrical engineering services market.  Our company has recently participated in projects of great value and magnitude such as Lines 1 and 2 of the Panama Metro Railway System,  the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, and the Hard Rock Hotel (Megapolis).

FLAGSHIP PROJECTS

SMITHSONIAN TROPICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE

A project of great significance, where we submitted ourselves to the highest international standards.  A challenge that we accepted and accomplished  to its fullest extent.

Our duties in this project included that of supplying and installing the entire Electrical System, in accordance with the specifications found in the drawings given to us by experts from the United States through their Commissioning Plan.  Our responsibilities included: Cable ducting and wiring of the Illumination Systems, Electrical Outlets, Motion Sensors, and Special Systems.  ÌTESA was also responsible for supplying and installing the Franklin Type Lightning Protector System,  the Grounding System, the Electrical Generator (including it's fuel storage and refueling system),  and the Energy Monitoring System.  ITESA also developed and implemented  the Coordination Study for the energy protection systems.

The project being of LEED qualification made it a requirement that all works needed to be compliant with all the procedures established in the IAQ Construction Management plan.

All of the materials supplied were compliant with UL Certifications and standards specified by the United States Chapter of the Smithsonian Institute.

LINES 1 & 2 CONSORTIUM
PANAMA METRO SYSTEM

Amongst the many diverse projects that ITESA has participated in are the Lines 1 & 2 of the Panama Metro System, which are not only of great importance because of their economic and technical impact, but also because of its prominent social impact.

This collaboration between the many contractors that participated in the installation of auxiliary systems such as air conditioning, mayor ventilation, and fire control systems,  ensured the correct implementation of the electrical system and that it could be structured in a comprehensive manner, therefore guaranteeing the proper operation of all the equipment and devices along the entire line of both lines 1& 2 of the Metro System.

HARD ROCK HOTEL
MEGAPOLIS

Due to the great surge and growth of the hotel industry in Panama, Consortium Decameron decided to develop the project Hard Rock Hotel Megapolis.  ITESA had the distinguished opportunity to be a part of this impressive project.  This project required the installation of the electrical system of the entire hotel tower.  The 66 floor building was designed to include 1468 rooms and also counts with diverse meeting rooms, stores, cafes, dance clubs, restaurants, social areas.

The type of structure like the Hard Rock Hotel required a specialized technical team that could guarantee the compliance with the design standards established by a renowned hotel hotel chain. Without a doubt, the project represented a considerable challenge that, when completed, became a preeminent reference for the construction industry in Panama.
